The Recreatheque all started in 1968 by M.Samuel Gewurz. The concept is to have a variety of activities all under the same roof. It wasn’t long after that we opened the first interior tennis courts in Canada. In 1970, we opened the first and the biggest interior rollerblading rink in Canada. So it is at that very moment the Recreatheque was considered the first interior family amusement center.
